Production for this creative holiday campaign began in July, when GurlCo Media transformed a simple summer set into a cozy, joy-filled winter wonderland — and we loved every minute of it. Partnering with Black Paper Party, we brought the Share Your Joy. Wrap Your Story.” concept to life as the centerpiece of their new Christmas product line launch. The cinematic brand promo blends culture, story, and celebration, wrapping authenticity and representation into every frame. From trimming the tree to capturing the final shot, every detail was designed to showcase joy and the spirit of connection that defines the brand.

Vera Doyle

The Find Your Treasures at Vera Doyle brand promotion captures more than just a boutique—it tells a story of heritage, style, and soulful curation. Through elegant visuals and warm, inviting camera work, we invite viewers to step inside a space where every item has a story and every visit feels personal. From handmade jewelry to nostalgic scents, the commercial showcases how Vera Doyle is more than a store—it’s a journey through beautifully collected moments. This is storytelling through sight, sound, and soul.

Stages

This five-part limited web series follows the lives of three Black women united by their experiences with HIV. They navigate life’s challenges and triumphs through love, laughter, and sisterhood. GurlCo Media expertly wrote, produced, and directed the series, expanding the original pilot script and episode into a compelling narrative that deepens the story and enhances the characters’ connections.

We Are Born Free

This documentary intimately explores the powerful journeys of Black American expatriates in their quest for liberation and self-determination worldwide. The film reveals the profound resilience and unwavering spirit of those who seek to carve out their destinies, reminding us of the universal desire for freedom and belonging.

The Grounders

A group of misfits, who work for a government agency, are trying to save the world from monsters one town at a time… their own way. GurlCo Media collaborated with the creative team, serving as both a producer and Assistant Director.
